Prof Barbara Casadei, Head of the NHLI, has recently been appointed as Editor-in-Chief of JAMA (The Journal of the American Medical Association) cardiology. This post is an essential role, responsible for managing the editorial office of JAMA cardiology based in the NHLI at Imperial College London. The postholder will work with the Editor-in-Chief and other staff to manage the editorial and peer review process and coordinate the publication of the journal.
You will be responsible for independently organising the workflows, reports, and editorial office processes following policies and procedures established by the JAMA Network journals. This includes coordinating manuscript submission, peer review and preparation for online / print publication. To do this you will work effectively with the Editor-in-Chief, other editors, peer reviewers and JAMA Network staff based in the .
You will have proven experience in editorial management and an undergraduate degree in a relevant field. You will have a knowledge of the scientific and medical publication process and excellent communication and organisational skills.
