Position: Telecare Response Handler
Based in a busy Control Room, as a Telecare response handler, you will be part of a team providing monitoring and response services within the Medway and surrounding areas.
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to all partners and service users.
The role involves managing emergency calls coming into the Telecare system and dealing with them efficiently and effectively. You will also monitor and manage incidents from CCTV Cameras, from initial sighting and reporting through to completion, coordinating with relevant stakeholders and service users.
Your communication skills and calm demeanor are essential, along with a commitment to work a shift pattern covering a 365-day operation. This is a fast-paced role requiring quick, logical thinking and excellent customer service.
Previous experience in emergency response handling is required. Experience in monitoring-controlled units is advantageous. Good ICT skills and a passion for supporting vulnerable people are essential. Knowledge of assistive technology and Telecare is beneficial.
The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, with shifts from 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am. The control room is located close to public transportation.
