About the Post
Lead Clinical Therapist responsible for developing services for Children on the Edge of Care and for contextual safeguarding. Embedding systemic, trauma‑informed and compassion‑focused practice models. Delivering therapeutic and evidence‑based 1‑to‑1, family and group interventions across START – Edge of Care and BSafe exploitation services.
Responsibilities
* Provide consultation, mapping, assessment, therapeutic plans and reflective practice sessions to children and parents.
* Deliver therapeutic support to vulnerable children and families, both in lone‑working in the community and in family homes.
* Develop and embed strengths‑based relationships, empowering children and parents to achieve their full potential.
* Support practice development through training and reflective practice workshops.
* Actively engage with multi‑agency colleagues to support children and families at risk of exploitation or on the edge of care.
Qualifications and Experience
* Fully qualified and registered psychotherapist.
* Previous experience working with vulnerable children, families at risk of exploitation or entering the care system.
* Experience in risk assessment and developing intervention plans.
* Sound understanding of trauma‑informed practice, competence in compassion‑focused therapy, systemic practice, EMDR and other evidence‑based interventions.
