About CBI Health’s Community Rehabilitation Services

Working in communities across Ontario, our Community Rehabilitation Services team treats clients who’ve experienced mental stress injuries, focusing on a return to pre-injury function.

As an integral part of our Traumatic Psychological Injuryprogram, the Registered Psychotherapist / Social Worker works with clients such as first responders who’ve experienced trauma in the workplace. This includes conducting in‑vivo exposure therapy and behavioural activation while facilitating trauma processing, coping and return to function. Our innovative approach to evidence‑based care incorporates novel interventions like virtual reality to promote industry‑leading mental health outcomes. This is an innovative, non‑traditional role for RPs and SWs that delivers function‑focused, community‑based, trauma‑informed interventions typically delivered by a Community Occupational Therapist. Delivered as part of our new Mental Stress Injuries program at CBI Health, you would receive training and supervision/mentorship to deliver in‑person services within your scope of practice.
