Role Description
The Centre for Health Economics (CHE) at the University of York is seeking to appoint a Senior Research Fellow/Reader in health economics on a full-time open contract. (Part-time applications will also be considered with a minimum of 0.8 FTE).
The successful candidate will have a research profile focused on economics applied to health and a strong quantitative background. The role involves working across CHE’s research themes, including research in low and middle-income settings.

The Research Fellow will be based in CHE, one of the world’s leading academic health economics research centres. For over forty years, we have been committed to the development and application of economics to promote health and wellbeing through the effective, efficient, and equitable use of resources. Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* PhD or equivalent in economics applied to health
* Proven research output of high quality with impact and esteem
* Experience in attracting external research funding
* Knowledge of health economics in low- and middle-income countries or a strong interest in developing such knowledge
* Ability to provide academic leadership and lead research projects and teams

Salary
£57,422 to £70,579 per year, reduced pro-rata for part-time work (Grade 8).
