Your role at Prestige Nursing & Care:
We are looking for a dynamic Care Planner with solid planning and rostering experience that is matched to a flexible, enthusiastic and can-do attitude to join our Northampton team.
You will be assisting and supporting your Branch Manager in ensuring that key business and compliance targets are met.

The role of Care Planner is always to promote Prestige Nursing & Care Nursing & Care as well as ensuring that the utilisation of nursing and care resources is both maximised and aligned with client requirements within defined quality, compliance and safety standards.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To support the safe delivery of care at the registered location by ensuring that all client visits are covered on a daily basis.
2. Ensure the effective placement of frontline colleagues to meet client need.
3. Ensure that all frontline colleagues rostered possess the correct level of training and competencies to deliver the care required.
4. Escalate any roster shortfalls immediately to the Registered Branch Manager.
5. Ensure that professional carers’ availability is regularly requested, obtained and updated on the rostering system.
6. Ensure professional carer’s shift allocations and hours worked are in line with the Working Time Regulations 1998.
7. Ensure that rosters are completed a minimum of four weeks in advance.
8. Process timesheets for payroll accurately and in line with hours worked. Escalating any anomalies to the Registered Branch Manager.
9. Take ownership of area and work in collaboration with the other care planners (where applicable) to ensure care is covered.
10. Ensure and maintain relevant accurate and up to date records for clients and colleagues, in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
11. Organise Quality Visits for the Field Care Supervisors & Field Care Managers.
12. Liaise with Branch Nurses to support the assessments, training, and competencies of Complex Packages.
13. Provide excellent customer service levels to internal and external users of the business.
14. To assist the Field Care Manager / Supervisor and Registered Branch Manager with the delivery of Professional Carers development and training programme to ensure members are able to fulfil and meet the changing needs of clients and service users.
15. To assist the Field Care Manager / Supervisor and Registered Branch Manager with recruitment to build capacity and ensure contingency within the service.
16. Ensure that service delivery is people centred, accessible, flexible and reliable and undertake on call duties on a rota basis.
17. Ensure strict adherence to all policies, and procedures.
18. Build strong relationships with clients and their families, actively involving them and addressing any concerns or preferences.
19. Establish effective communication channels with clients, their representatives, external healthcare providers, social services, and community organisations to enhance overall care coordination.
20. Identify and respond to all new business opportunities to support growth with the Branch Manager.
21. Act appropriately in emergency situations, reporting incidents whilst respecting client sensitivity, privacy and confidentiality and respond to crisis situations effectively by summoning appropriate assistance e.g. GP/District Nurse/Emergency Services.
22. Ensure the health, safety and welfare of clients, and yourself and other colleagues, in line with Health & Safety legislation.
23. Promote a healthy and safe working environment, reporting any health & safety concerns to the Registered Branch Manager immediately.
24. Ensure incident management, safeguarding and complaints processes are adhered to and managed appropriately; supporting branch colleagues to identify lessons learnt and drive continuous improvement.
25. In the absence of the Registered Branch Manager, ensure all allegations of abuse are acted upon appropriately and reported to the local authority and where required the regulator (CQC /CI Scotland).
26. Act as an ambassador for Prestige Nursing & Care and always promote the business in a positive manner.
27. Support the business Environmental, Social and Governance strategy by promoting recycling, reducing energy consumption and supporting efficiency.
