Senior Fire Engineer Job in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear
Senior Fire Engineer job with an established fire engineering consultancy based in Sunderland. The role offers a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 + 4.5-day week + private healthcare + professional development.

Role & Responsibilities
* Lead and manage large or complex fire engineering projects, taking full ownership of deliverables
* Provide technical expertise on fire safety strategies, performance-based designs, and complex problem-solving
* Review and approve technical submissions from subcontractors and consultants
* Lead design team meetings, workshops, and client presentations
* Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their professional development
* Represent the consultancy with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and at project meetings
* Keep up to date with UK legislation, guidance, and industry best practices, ensuring projects meet the highest standards.
Required Skills & Experience
* Degree qualified in Fire Engineering (BEng/BSc/MSc) and Chartered (or near completion)
* Extensive experience delivering fire engineering solutions for UK projects
* Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, guidance, and design standards
* Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams concurrently
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* UK driving licence preferred but not essential
