Exciting opportunity to join us as a Research Midwife in the Maternity Research Team at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual keen to work in research. You will support various specialties within Women's Health, primarily focusing on current open trials such as Salurate, Lumella, Prestige, iGBS, SNAP 2, SNAP 3, Feed 1, and assist with setting up new trials. The post holder will work across sites at St Helier Hospital and Epsom Hospital and may support research activities elsewhere in the Trust.
This is a great opportunity for a research-minded Midwife to gain experience at a well-respected hospital in South London. Main duties of the job
1. Assist with the safe and effective delivery of designated clinical research studies, focusing on overseeing and supporting trials like Salurate, Lumella, Prestige, iGBS, SNAP 2, SNAP 3, Feed 1, and FNAIT.
2. Consent and recruit participants, perform study-specific point of care tests.
3. Support the setup of future studies, assess feasibility, recruit participants, educate and monitor research patients, and ensure accurate data collection and documentation.
4. Record research data accurately on trial logs, resolve data queries, and manage data collection systems.
5. Provide advice and information to enable informed decision-making by patients regarding trial participation, acting as their advocate.
6. Be willing to work across different clinical specialties within your qualifications as needed.
