We are looking to recruit an Insurance Manager to join our Financial Services Team. The main duties of the post holder will be to lead the Council’s insurance claims handling arrangements to ensure they are handled in a professional and timely manner, ensure that appropriate insurance cover is always in place, and lead on the procurement of the Council’s various insurance contracts in conjunction with advice from brokers.
We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge of the insurance sector and experience of dealing with a wide variety of claims, investigating those claims, and making a decision on liability. Ideally, we are looking for a qualified or part qualified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (or equivalent), but we encourage development, ambition and progression so even if you don't have all the skills or experience, please do consider applying as full training and support are offered.
