Affinity Workforce Solutions are partnering with a specialist educational setting that is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to work with pupils who have additional learning needs, starting immediately. The primary focus of this role is to provide support around social, emotional, and mental health needs, with aspects of Autism, behavioural challenges, and learning difficulties also involved. As each child is different, the responsibilities will vary, and your strategies must be adapted to suit the individual requirements of each pupil. This position is highly rewarding and involves guiding the child's progress in collaboration with the classroom teacher and the SENCO. Many students will need one-to-one assistance and will follow an Individual Education Plan (IEP). You will play a key role in helping them reach their personalised academic, social, and emotional targets set by educational professionals. An ideal candidate will be: Excited about working with children and being creative Experience managing a class in the absence of the class Teacher Confident managing children's behaviour Emotionally resilient An approachable, friendly character Aware or have experience of supporting children and adults with additional needs Benefits of working with Affinity Workforce: You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience. Dedicated consultant allocated to support you with any questions and concerns. Support in writing CV's and job applications. £200 for any successful referral of Teachers and £100 for Teaching Assistants. You will receive free, up to date safeguarding training. Training workshops and CPD courses to provide professional development. The option of working under a PAYE or Umbrella pay scheme. The Desirable Candidate: * Can offer previous experience with mental health in a supporting capacity * A knowledge or understanding of SEN/SEMH * A confident approach to working with children * An educational background * An enthusiasm to learn, sense of humour and develop professionally * An enhanced DBS Affinity Workforce can assist with this.
