 
        A leading independent school in West London is seeking a Head of Legal and Compliance to oversee all aspects of governance, legal risk, and regulatory compliance. This is a senior role with broad responsibility for ensuring the school operates to the highest legal, ethical, and safeguarding standards. The Role The Head of Legal and Compliance will manage the day-to-day running of the Compliance Office and provide strategic support to senior leadership on legal, risk, and governance matters. The role covers a diverse range of areas, including data protection, employment, health and safety, premises, and policy management. Key Responsibilities Oversee compliance across all school policies and procedures Lead on data protection and GDPR compliance Advise on employment, health and safety, and premises matters Maintain robust governance and risk management frameworks Ensure adherence to safeguarding and regulatory obligations Provide guidance on policy, procedure, and best practice Requirements Degree in Law or equivalent professional qualification Proven experience in compliance, governance, or legal management Strong understanding of data protection, safeguarding, and employment law Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills Experience in education or the charity sector is highly advantageous Additional Information This is a full-time position, though flexibility may be available outside of term time.
