We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef for a well-established, local restaurant. Located close to Braintree, this is a favourite for locals, with customers returning on a regular basis for the superb dining and social experience. This venue is a pillar of the community, situated in a gorgeous Grade II listed building, with a restaurant, bar and lounge area.
The restaurant is a local gem, using locally sourced produce from neighbouring farms and estates wherever possible, and game features heavily on their ever-changing blackboard specials, when in season. They pride themselves on their attention to detail in all areas of the kitchen as well as the front of house, and have built up a strong brigade, led by a talented Head Chef.
As Sous Chef you will be responsible for assisting in the efficient running of the kitchen & maintaining consistently high standards. You will also have input in menu development and daily specials.
This would be the ideal role if you have previous Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef experience within a fast paced, fresh food environment.
Due to the location a car driver is essential.
