Role Overview To support the management and delivery of an effective Corporate Health and Safety service, ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities and the provision of safe working environments for employees, clients, and others affected by the organisation's operations across retail, distribution, and office locations. This role is based in the South and covers the South of England and South Wales. Occasional travel to the main head office in Scotland will be required. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and review health and safety systems, procedures, and practices. Ensure compliance with new and existing legislation, Codes of Practice, and guidance through regular procedural updates. Monitor the application of policies and plans, including conducting and analysing accident and incident investigations, and promoting continual improvement. Assist in the development of audit and risk management procedures relevant to the full range of organisational activities and properties. Conduct safety audits and validate audit reports to ensure robust health and safety practices. Provide expert advice and support to directors, senior managers, and employees on all health and safety matters, including environmental issues where appropriate.
