The Role
1. To provide pharmaceutical technical services within all sections of the pharmacy department to patients attending or admitted to the hospital.
2. To support the Senior Pharmacy Technicians in the day-to-day running of dispensary and aseptic services.
3. To ensure the accurate, efficient and timely supply of discharge / out patient prescriptions, pharmaceutical stock and non-stock supplies to wards and departments.

What we'll need you to bring
4. National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent
5. SVQ Level III
6. Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
7. Dispensary checking or aseptic checking qualification
8. Commitment to CPD
9. Post qualification experience as qualified pharmacy technician in hospital pharmacy service
10. Experience in dispensing Discharge/OPD/in-patient prescriptions
11. Experience in providing a ward/department stock top-up service.
12. Experience in supervision of other staff or of a functional area of pharmacy.
13. Thorough understanding of hospital pharmacy services
14. Ability to carry out aseptic and cytotoxic drug reconstitution
15. Computer skills/key board skills
16. Good communication skills both verbal and written
17. Ability to organise and prioritise work
18. Team player
