Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, We’re looking for a talented Graphic Designer to create high quality, creative graphics that help tell a new story about Sandwell across all our communications channels.
It’s an exciting time to join Sandwell Council. We have set our ambition to become an outstanding council, and the Communications team is a key strategic service that will help lead the change required to make this ambition a reality.
You’ll be creating graphics and visuals to be used across our external and internal channels, including producing our newspaper – the Sandwell Herald – and our e‑newsletters and social media channels.
We are looking for a talented individual who can use their design expertise to help explain complicated or sensitive information to a range of different audiences in a visual way. Working with colleagues across the Communications team, you’ll help bring our campaigns to life.
You’ll work with our Internal Communications, Employee Engagement and Brand Manager to maintain and update our branding guidelines, and support other colleagues across the council to work within them.
Responsibilities
* Create high‑quality graphics that communicate the council’s vision across all communication channels.
* Produce visual content for the Sandwell Herald, e‑newsletters and social media platforms.
* Translate complex or sensitive information into engaging visual formats for diverse audiences.
* Collaborate with Internal Communications, Employee Engagement and Brand Manager to uphold and evolve branding guidelines.
* Support colleagues across the council to apply the brand standards consistently.
