We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer to build, operate and continuously improve our Azure cloud and platform capabilities, ensuring they are secure, reliable, scalable and cost-effective. This role plays a key part in delivering hands-on 3rd line platform engineering support across our cloud infrastructure, platform systems, and IT services.
You'll be joining our Infrastructure and Platform Engineering team, working collaboratively with InfraOps, DevSecOps, FinOps, and wider IT teams to deliver high engineering standards, maintain full patch compliance, support operational excellence, and drive continuous improvement across our cloud and infrastructure estate.
What's the Role
Build, operate and improve Azure cloud and platform capabilities ensuring security, reliability and scalability
Implement and manage 3rd line engineering support across cloud infrastructure, IT services and platform systems
Provide automated and self-service platform components to enable development and technology teams
Implement and maintain servers and Kubernetes in Azure using IaC including Terraform or Tofu
Create, maintain and refine Azure resources including servers, VM scale sets, AKS, firewalls, pipelines, app gateways and networks
Identify and automate tasks and processes using scripting across the estate
Work with InfraOps, DevSecOps and FinOps to remediate vulnerabilities, maintain compliance and optimise cloud performance and cost
What Can You Offer
Ability to design, configure and maintain Azure web and application hosting platforms
Experience deploying Azure infrastructure using Terraform and/or Ansible
Strong technical knowledge of Kubernetes and containerisation technologies
Experience with Azure DevOps multistage YAML pipelines
Proficiency in PowerShell and Bash scripting
Proven technical knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure including servers, networks, firewalls and app gateways
Minimum 2 years in a 3rd line Infrastructure, DevOps or Platform Engineering role
