Consultant in Acute Medicine
NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant
Overview
This is an innovative post for an individual looking to develop their role in a dynamic and well-equipped Acute Medicine Unit. The service is delivered on the Emergency Floor, with a brand new stand-alone Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit due to open in July 2025 at St Richard’s Hospital. We recently recruited two new Acute Medical Consultants and aim to expand the team to support future service development including medical high care.
We provide first-class care from arrival with rapid access to the right service at the right time, and a strong patient-first approach with excellent opportunities for service redesign.
This post includes a £20,000 retention bonus for the successful applicant, payable in line with our Retention Bonus Scheme policy. The retention bonus does not apply to candidates currently engaged by the Trust at the same grade as the advertised post, or to those who have been engaged at the same grade within the Trust in the past 24 months.
