HGV Class 2 Bin Lorry Driver
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Bin Lorry Driver to work on behalf of a local District Council in the North Mansfield area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking driver looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with early starts and consistent hours.
The Role
As a Bin Lorry Driver, your duties will include:
1. Operating a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV Class 2)
2. Collecting domestic and commercial waste/recycling
3. Leading and working alongside a crew of loaders
4. Navigating residential streets and tight access routes safely
5. Operating hydraulic systems to empty bins efficiently
6. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
7. A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
8. Held your Class 2 licence for a minimum of 1 year
9. At least 6 months HGV driving experience
10. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
11. Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
12. Ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding environment
Working Hours
13. Monday to Friday
14. Start times approximately 7:00am
15. Full-time ongoing work available
16. Assignment rates starting from £17.75 per hour
