Position: Cost Engineer
Location: Aberdeen
Work Pattern: Contract (Outside IR35) - Hybrid
We’re looking for a Project Cost Engineer to join a Project Controls team in Aberdeen. In this role, you’ll support project delivery by managing cost tracking, forecasting, billing, and financial reporting across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and update project cost trackers and forecasts
* Manage variation order (VO) tracking, approvals, and documentation
* Support timesheet reviews and cost allocation
* Coordinate billing requests, invoice approvals, and PO tracking
* Analyse cost performance and support project financial reporting
* Liaise with internal teams and clients to resolve cost and billing queries
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in project cost engineering or project cost control
* Experience managing project costs and reporting across the project lifecycle
* Strong Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
* Experience with project controls systems (e.g., Primavera P6, ERP tools) is beneficial
* Experience in Oil and Gas, Offshore or Subsea industries
