We're looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store's appearance.

As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.

Responsibilities

* Know our customers and serve them with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback through the 'have your say' survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe working practices at all times.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand the role in delivering store profitability.
* Demonstrate our values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow store policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Maintain safety by following procedures and wearing appropriate safety equipment where available.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Keep work areas clean, tidy and organized, with aisles clear of congestion.
* Occasionally run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Follow all training to keep yourself and others safe and compliant.
* If this store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day Post Office operations and you must pass a background check. If checks fail, the offer will be withdrawn.
