Offer description

At Proact, we’re a pan-European data management specialist focused on unlocking the power of data through strategy, storage, connectivity, and security. But that’s only part of our story.

We’re here to break the mould - to push boundaries, challenge convention, and approach things differently. We’ve built a fast-paced, people-first working environment that champions innovation, continuous learning, and career development, empowering you to do your best work.

Here, you can bring your whole self to work as part of a truly diverse organisation supporting both local and national customers. You can act with integrity, show commitment, and pursue excellence in everything you do. You can embrace change, seek out new challenges, and learn by doing.

All of this happens within a team united by a shared sense of direction - one that’s driving innovation and accelerating growth.

This is what it means to #BeAProactivist

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Liaising directly with customers to support investigations and provide clarity
• Reviewing authentication activity for suspicious or correlating failures

You will also continue to develop your technical expertise in areas such as:

• Network protocols including TCP/IP fundamentals

• Operating systems including Windows and Linux

• Hosting platforms, enterprise systems and infrastructure

• Virtual environments

• Security products such as AV, IDS, IPS, SIEM, APT detection

• Vulnerability assessment and management

• Malware and Social Engineering
• MITRE ATT&CK framework

• Governance, Risk and Compliance, including standards such as ISO, and Cyber Essentials

What we’re looking for

• A relevant degree such as Cyber Security or Information Security, achieved at a minimum grade of 2:2
• The ability to obtain HMG SC clearance
• A genuine interest in expanding your Cyber Security knowledge, along with a willingness to undertake further training as required
• The ability to document and explain technical information clearly and concisely to both technical peers and senior non-technical stakeholders
• A creative mindset with the ability to think “outside the box” and identify opportunities to improve existing processes
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to work varying shift patterns in line with departmental needs, including:

12 hour shifts based on a ‘four on, four off’ pattern. Each shift includes a one-hour meal break and two fifteen-minute comfort breaks. You will work four-day shifts between 7am and 7pm followed by four days off, then four-night shifts between 7pm and 7am followed by another four days off. Weekend and public holiday working will be required where these fall within your scheduled shifts.

Benefits

• A diverse and inclusive culture where you’re encouraged to be yourself – and your best self – every day
• Exciting career pathways supported by a flat structure that enables learning, development and progression
• A strong commitment to your wellbeing, including private comprehensive healthcare
• Generous financial rewards including a competitive salary and a strong pension offering
• Excellent lifestyle benefits such as generous holiday entitlement, the option to purchase additional leave and a paid charity day
