What you will do
This position exists within the Connected Services Business Unit of Clarios and will report to the VPGM of Connected Services.
The Business Development Manager will be a key member of the Connected Services leadership team, reporting to the VPGM of Connected Services. In this position, you’ll have a unique opportunity to join a newly created business unit and shape solutions for the fast-evolving low voltage space.
The ideal candidate will be pivotal in driving the growth of our recurring service offerings and play a crucial role in the expansion of our commercial team. This position requires a forward-thinking professional who is adept at identifying new market opportunities and building strong customer relationships. Additionally, the business development manager will collaborate closely with Global Customer & Technology teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of all Connected Services product initiatives globally.
How you will do it
1. Develop and implement strategies for new service offerings, focusing on long-term recurring revenue models.
2. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including market analysis and competitive landscape.
3. Forge and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
4. Collaborate with product development teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends.
5. Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market plans for connected services.
6. Provide insights and feedback to the leadership team to inform strategic decisions.
7. Drive the recruitment and development of a high-performing commercial team, to selling and delivering connected services.
8. Equip the team the necessary tools and training to effectively sell connected services.
9. Develop sales targets and incentive programs to drive performance and revenue growth.
10. Monitor and report on the performance of business development activities, adjusting strategies as needed.
11. Advocate for customer requirements within Clarios to ensure service offerings are customer-focused and competitive.
What we look for
12. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
13. Minimum of 7 years' experience in business development, preferably in the technology or automotive industry.
14. Proven track record of developing and growing new business lines, particularly with recurring revenue models.
15. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
16. Capable of managing a hybrid workforce and cultivating a highly engaged team.
17. Strong presence to interface with stakeholders, partners, and customers, articulating ideas clearly.
18. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively across teams to influence decision making.
19. Excellent team-building abilities, with experience in managing diverse teams.
