About the Role
A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Bradford is seeking a committed and versatile General Cover Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This full-time position involves delivering pre-prepared lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring students remain on track during teacher absence. Essential Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or a recognised teaching qualification
* Right to work in the UK
* Prior experience working with students aged 11-16
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

* Deliver pre-planned lessons in a range of subjects across KS3 and KS4
* Keep students focused, motivated, and engaged in the absence of their regular teacher
* Uphold the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
* Adapt teaching approaches to meet a variety of learning needs
* Support student progress through effective classroom supervision
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
* Deal with any behaviour issues promptly and fairly
* Liaise with department heads and pastoral staff where necessary
* Report safeguarding or well-being concerns appropriately
* Encourage enthusiasm and effort in every lesson
