Social Worker – MASH Team (Assessment Pod)
Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: Part-time (3 days per week)
Length of Assignment: 3 months
Rate: £38 per hour
Working Pattern: Hybrid – remote working on weeks one and three of the rota
About the Role
Opus People Solutions, on behalf of Milton Keynes City Council, is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within the Assessment Pod.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced role focused on initial assessments and Section 47 investigations. You’ll be responsible for duty work, conducting assessments, and safeguarding enquiries where required.
To support your induction and embed the Milton Keynes practice model and values, you’ll be office-based for the first four weeks.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake duty and initial assessments
* Carry out Section 47 investigations (if suitably qualified)
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children
* Apply MK’s practice model and values in all aspects of your work
Requirements
* Qualified and registered Social Worker
* Minimum 3 years’ post-qualifying experience
* Experience in assessment and safeguarding work
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Commitment to making a positive difference in children’s lives
