Overview
Our Line Chefs are responsible for producing all core menu items in an efficient and consistent manner and developing delicious specials to excite and delight our guests! This role reports directly to the Kitchen Manager.
Responsibilities
* Cooking food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
* Facilitating special requests from guests if received.
* Managing wastage through correct product measurement.
* Ensuring you are working towards all kitchen SOPs at all times.
* Setting up and stocking food items and other necessary supplies.
Beyond that, you'll represent our company values and culture, ensuring that service excellence remains our top priority. Other businesses may call this role Prep Cook, Line Cook, Commis Chef / Chef de Partie. Full details of the role will be discussed with the shortlisted candidates. Career Development
You'll have the opportunity to join our Chef Academy and complete a fully funded Level 2 Commis Chef or Level 3 Senior Production Chef qualification while you work. Your pay and terms of employment won't change, you'll simply learn while you earn as you prepare to take the next step in your career.
Qualifications
An ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. Demonstrable cooking experience including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook. Familiarity with industry best practices and Basic Food Safety are essential.
