About The Role
We're looking for a Category Insights Manager to join the team here at FBC UK. This role reports into the Head of Category Insights, with stakeholders including Marketing & Trade Marketing, the Commercial Leadership Team (CLT) and the Executive. Role objective: To run & curate FBC UK’s regular and ad hoc reporting capabilities internally, but also with the Ferrero office in Luxembourg. We aim to drive FBC UK towards being the biggest branded Sweet Biscuit manufacturer in Britain by 2033.
Main Responsibilities
* Production of four weekly PowerPoint reports: exact reports to be determined but likely NIQ reports; includes writing high quality commentary based on additional analysis around the core reporting.
* Production of standalone reports in collaboration with the wider Category Insight team: Market Performance Tracker, R&Os reporting and others.
* Support the business through the annual 3 year plan (PS3) planning cycle.
* Develop and deliver insightful presentations at internal Brand Plan days; hand off work to Customer Category team for customer presentations.
* Help build, test and embed PowerBI reporting throughout the business.
* Provide insightful analysis and commentary in response to queries from shareholders, S&I team, UK Exec and CLT on ad hoc issues (e.g., competitor analysis, brand diagnostics, legislative impacts, events).
* Drive use of Category Insight reporting throughout Commercial teams in FBC UK and beyond; encourage use of agency analytical tools where appropriate (NIQ Discover / Kantar MyWorldpanel / Circana Key Account Data).
* Provide analysis for aligned brand marketers; responsibilities may include Chocolate Biscuit Bars (Rocky/Wagon Wheels), Everyday Treats (Crunch Creams / Paterson’s 300g), Kids in Home Treats & Minis (Dodgers/Party Rings/Maryland Minis).
* Be the subject matter expert for agreed product segments; thorough knowledge of brand performance, product range, shopper/consumer behaviours and development opportunities.
* Manage our account with an agency on a day-to-day basis (likely NIQ): raising PO numbers, weekly client service & data quality; train/assist Marketing in using Discover.
* Strategic management of agency relationships. Responsibility for coding inputs the agency manages and for “owned” product segments (e.g., CBBs, EVT).

Who we are looking for
* Several years of experience in fast moving consumer goods Category Development, at least to Category Manager level
* IT literacy: high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
* Data literacy & numeracy: strong analytical capability
* Strong time management: proactive, independent, able to prioritise; strong team player
* Strong interpersonal skills: presentation, copywriting and facilitation
Nice To Have
* Experience with NIQ Discover, Circana Unify, Kantar MyWorldpanel; loyalty panels (dunnhumby / Nectar 360)
* Experience in Power BI desktop
* Strong influencing skills: leadership, training, change management
* Understanding of the UK market and company culture
