Job Description
Assystem Energy & Infrastructure Ltd (AEIL) is looking to recruit Principal / Lead and Senior Electrical Engineers with demonstrable design experience in low‑voltage (LV), medium‑voltage (MV) and high‑voltage (HV) systems to support the significant growth in its EC&I business.
Missions
* Design of LV, HV & MV distribution, protection and control systems
* Switchgear design
* Design substantiation and verification
* Development and review of schematic drawings and single‑line diagrams
* Development of HV/MV/LV system studies, including protection coordination, earthing, arc‑flash, voltage regulation, load‑flow and fault‑level reports
* Detailed design covering all aspects of high and medium voltage equipment
* Detailed design of secondary control and protection systems
* Specification, selection and procurement of LV, HV & MV equipment
* Experience with electrical design tools such as eTAP or similar
* Coordination and management of sub‑contract specialist suppliers
* Delivery of design packages throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning

Qualifications
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
* Experience leading EC&I engineers and designers
* In‑depth knowledge of electrical engineering in a highly regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, energy, offshore, aerospace)
* Application of appropriate engineering standards
* Development of continuous‑improvement processes and procedures
* Knowledge of European and international electrical standards and best practice
* Minimum of three years as a Senior Engineer or similar staff appointment
* Ability to work independently, using own initiative and motivation
* Experience with naval dockyard electrical systems and overhauling ageing equipment (desirable)
* Familiarity with MoD standards and procedures (desirable)
* Experience or interest in emerging digital technologies (desirable)
* Willingness to travel to customer and supplier sites as required (desirable)
* Experience in the development of quotations for new projects (desirable)
