About the Role
TekAlloy is recruiting on behalf of a leading, modern aerospace manufacturer renowned for producing high-precision components using advanced CNC machining technologies.
We're seeking a Machining Project Estimator to join their growing commercial team — a technically minded professional who understands manufacturing processes and can accurately analyse, estimate and price complex machined components.

Key Responsibilities
* Analyse customer requirements, engineering drawings and specifications for manufactured parts
* Estimate material, labour, tooling, and subcontract costs
* Generate accurate and competitive quotations for customers
* Work closely with production teams to ensure costings reflect real manufacturing processes and efficiency
* Maintain records of quotations, cost data, and customer communications
* Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to identify and develop new business opportunities
* Provide technical advice to customers and internal teams on machining capabilities and process improvements
* Monitor and review estimates to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve accuracy
* Support safe working practices and promote environmental awareness within the workplace
The Person
* Educated to at least GCSE level (Maths and English Grade C or above)
* Apprenticeship or degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) – essential
* Minimum 3–5 years' industrial experience in precision or CNC machining – essential
* Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, materials and methods
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Confident communicator with strong organisational and interpersonal skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
* Able to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines
Working Hours
* Monday–Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
* Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
* 39 hours per week
