Supplier Relationship Manager – Intra Group Relationships
Hybrid working with 3 days per week from home. 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Salary £51,800 – £64,700 per annum. Part‑time 3 days per week (22.5 hours). Working in our UK support functions you’ll play a key part in helping our customer‑facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care.
Responsibilities
* Onboard suppliers after contract award, managing them against the Supplier Management Framework and building ongoing relationships.
* Lead governance review meetings with strategic suppliers to assess performance against contract, including SLA performance, cost reductions, continuous improvement opportunities and quality of service. Ensure suppliers fulfil FCA compliance where applicable.
* Own and manage supplier risk profile to mitigate supply‑chain risks, reduce financial or reputational damage, conduct due diligence, root‑cause analysis and process improvement.
* Drive category strategy, collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to innovate, achieve efficiencies, pursue business development opportunities and generate value for Bupa.
* Lead internal reviews with key stakeholders to identify business needs, translate into relationship‑development plans, and prioritise implementation of continuous improvement in service, cost, risk and flexibility.
* Instigate action plans to remedy poor supplier performance, manage them through to successful conclusion, and hand over improvement projects to operational stakeholders.
* Lead market scanning and benchmarking to monitor supply‑market direction, ensure competitiveness of the supply base and shape category strategy.
* Provide regular management‑information reports and updates to business stakeholders at all levels.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Experience managing suppliers against FCA (SYSC 8/13) and PRA handbook requirements.
* Experience in supplier assurance or audit.
* Knowledge of working with and managing outsourced service providers.
* Knowledge of supply‑chain processes and improvement tools and techniques.
* Professional procurement or risk‑management qualifications.
* Good understanding of risk‑management frameworks and compliance activities.
* Experience drafting contract terms and conditions, with emphasis on schedules.
* Strong commercial awareness and record of value‑based delivery.
* Analysis, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
* Excellent communication skills at all organisational levels.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Experience building and maintaining effective relationships at all levels.
