Job Title: Freelance Project Manager (Retail Fit-Out) Contract Duration: 6-12 Months Location: Greater Manchester (with regular travel to sites across the UK) Experience Level: Minimum 5 years Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a national roll-out of retail rebranding projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail fit-out and project delivery, along with exceptional stakeholder management skills. This role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage retail fit-out projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with the overall project vision and objectives. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and operations, to facilitate smooth project execution. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on project progress and addressing any issues that arise. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards throughout all phases of the project. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project specifications. Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure project goals are met. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise project disruptions. Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in retail fit-out or construction projects. Proven track record of successfully delivering fit-out projects within budget and on schedule. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in project management software and tools. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Relevant project management certification (e.g., AMP, PMP) is preferred.
