Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following: Support the SHE Manager in the development and maintenance of the SHE management system (including objectives, processes and assurance) Provide competent and comprehensive SHE advice and support to Shift Leaders within the site, enabling them to effectively manage SHE within their area of responsibility Support activities associated with improving SHE practice and performance within the site, including (but not limited to): deployment and implementation of SHE Policy Management Systems, SHE objectives and targets, provision of competent SHE advice on risk management and control, collation and provision of SHE performance reports (such as injuries, audits, regulatory issues), investigation and reporting of incidents in accordance with regulatory and/or customer requirements, provision of an effective interface with representatives dealing with liability issues Support the development and implementation of innovative SHE change programmes, ensuring consistency and effective improvement in SHE risk management and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and the sharing of best practices Collaborate with key stakeholders, influencing them to appropriately consider SHE factors during decision making Directly liaise with Safety Representatives weekly Provide assurance for determining compliance with relevant legal, BAE Systems Operational Carry out and maintain Risk Management online databases Monitor the effectiveness, and provide regular reports, on all of the above to the SHE Manager Knowledge: Have an understanding of safety, health and environmental management standards and practices The candidate will hold an understanding of SHE requirements, internal and external best practice The role requires an in-depth understanding of how to influence others in order to operationalise, integrate and deliver SHE processes, projects and change in a business, through having a good knowledge of the business,, the challenges they face, the developments which they are planning Skills: The role requires a strong ability to influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across all levels of the business and externally.
