What the Job Involves As a Social Worker within the Children and Family Services team, you will undertake assessments and social work services arising from the council’s statutory duties under legislation and policies. Your work will involve participating in duty teams or rota, ensuring timely case progressions, safeguarding children, and being informed by current research. You will manage cases, liaise with other agencies, and represent the Local Authority in court for Care Proceedings. Your role includes maintaining up-to-date records, complying with the Children Services recording policy, and participating in training and team collaborations.
