dhBorders is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for 3 reliable and hardworking Industrial Painter/Coatings Operatives to join a busy and growing team based in the Scottish Borders. THIS IS INITIALLY FOR A 3 WEEK JOB BUT OTHER WORK WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATES
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in industrial painting or coatings who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. While formal qualifications aren’t essential, previous experience in industrial or heavy-duty painting/coating environments is highly beneficial .
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply industrial paints and protective coatings to steelwork and other materials.
* Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
* Operate spray equipment, brushes, and rollers in accordance with job requirements.
* Work to specified standards and ensure a high-quality finish.
* Follow all health and safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
* Maintain tools and equipment and ensure the work area is kept tidy.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in industrial or commercial painting (spray or brush/roller).
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
* A good attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
* Flexibility to adapt to different job tasks as required.
Hours and Pay:
* Pick ups in Galashiels at 6am/lauder 6.15am – drop offs 5.30pm
* Full-time hours, with potential for overtime
* Long-term opportunity with scope for progression
* £13.68ph PAYE weekly paid
