The Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Tax Development Executive to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for business development and a strong understanding of tax services. You will play a key role in identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospective clients, helping to drive growth across our tax advisory, compliance, and planning services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
o Provide follow up for webinars, inbound downloads / outreach for cross sale of existing clients
o Book appointments with tax specialists for prospects
o Identify and research potential clients within target markets (e.g. owner-managed businesses, SMEs, high-net-worth individuals).
o Qualify inbound and outbound leads through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and networking events.
o Maintain and grow a pipeline of tax service opportunities.
* Client Engagement
o Initiate conversations with prospects to understand their tax needs and challenges.
o Present the firm's tax capabilities in a compelling and consultative manner.
o Book meetings for senior tax advisors and partners with qualified prospects.
Collaboration & Strategy
o Deliver the activation section of the tax growth plan for the UK
o Work closely with the tax advisory team to align outreach with service offerings. Work closely with Head of Tax and UK Marketing Director.
o Support marketing campaigns and events focused on tax services.
o Provide feedback on market trends and client needs to inform service development.
CRM & Reporting
o Maintain accurate records of interactions and opportunities in the CRM system.
o Track KPIs including outreach volume, conversion rates, and revenue impact.
o Prepare regular reports for leadership on pipeline progress and performance.
Skills and Attributes
* Proven experience in a business development, sales, or client-facing role (preferably within professional services or financial services / banking).
* Understanding of UK tax services (corporate tax, personal tax, VAT, R&D, etc.) is required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time management abilities.
* Comfortable using CRM tools and digital outreach platforms.
