As a high‑performing Financial Services business development professional, you will lead the growth of our AI Business Solutions capability across Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance.
Role
You will operate as a senior individual contributor within the private‑sector AI Business Solutions team, reporting to the Head of Sales, AI Business Solutions. You will generate demand through your existing Financial Services network, develop new executive‑level relationships, and lead opportunities from first conversation through to signed contract, building enduring senior‑level client partnerships.
Responsibilities
* Define and execute the Financial Services business development strategy across Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance.
* Act as the primary seller and long‑term relationship owner for senior Financial Services clients.
* Build, maintain, and expand long‑term senior client relationships, including C‑suite and executive leadership.
* Lead consultative, challenge‑led sales conversations focused on client outcomes rather than technology‑first selling.
* Position AI‑enabled Business Transformation, including customer service, sales, and operations use cases.
* Shape opportunities combining Contact Centre, CRM, case management, workflow, low‑code, automation, data, and AI to address challenges such as customer experience, cost‑to‑serve, regulatory change, and operational resilience.
* Lead conversations on Copilot and generative AI adoption within Financial Services, grounded in real business value, governance, and change.
* Own and manage a high‑quality sales pipeline, qualifying and prioritising opportunities to deliver against revenue targets.
* Lead opportunity shaping, deal strategy, and commercial negotiations, including pricing and contract discussions.
* Collaborate with pre‑sales and delivery teams, retaining ownership of the client relationship and commercials.
* Partner closely with Microsoft and ecosystem partners to drive joint opportunities.
* Represent the organization externally at industry events, executive briefings, and client forums.
* Act as a trusted ambassador for the AI Business Solutions team.
Requirements
* Proven experience in new business sales or business development within Financial Services (Banking, Capital Markets, and/or Insurance).
* Demonstrable experience positioning Business Applications and Contact Centre solutions within Financial Services environments.
* Experience selling solutions aligned to the Microsoft ecosystem, including Dynamics 365, Contact Centre solutions, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Microsoft Fabric, and M365.
* Practical experience shaping opportunities involving Copilot, generative AI, intelligent automation, or AI‑assisted customer service.
* A strong track record of building and sustaining long‑term senior client relationships.
* Demonstrated success closing complex consulting, technology, or transformation services deals.
* Credibility engaging at C‑suite and senior executive level.
* Strong commercial acumen and deal‑shaping capability.
* Experience working effectively with pre‑sales, architects, and delivery teams.
