Control Systems Engineer – The Role
* Design and specify control systems, safety solutions, and electrical components for complex industrial automation
* Develop electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
* Plan control system architecture and write technical specs & process flow diagrams
* Collaborate closely with Design & Applications Engineers to ensure on‑time, high‑quality project delivery
* Program and test PLC‑based industrial control systems (Siemens & Allen Bradley)
* Conduct electrical testing on newly built machines
* Conduct electrical testing and commissioning of new systems
* Support system installation and provide aftercare (minimal UK/international travel – less than 5%)
Control Systems Engineer – The Person
* 3+ years of experience in PLC programming and electrical panel design
* Strong understanding of machine safety standards and electrical regulations
* understanding of industrial communications (Profinet/Profibus, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, OPC, IO‑Link, etc.)
* Degree in Electrical, Control, or Automation Engineering (2:1 or above preferred)
* Interest in robotics or AI‑driven automation advantageous

This is an office‑based role easily commutable from within and around Reading, Didcot, Swindon and Oxford. Site work is required but will involve less than 5 % of tie‑away from home.
