An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sign Fitter’s Mate to join a well-established and growing signage and graphics business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, isn’t afraid of a hard day’s graft, and is keen to learn a skilled trade on the job.
Working alongside an experienced Lead Installer, you’ll form part of a two-person team delivering high-quality signage, vinyl, and graphic installations across a wide range of commercial environments throughout the UK.
You’ll gain exposure to high-profile projects and well-known brands, making this an ideal role for someone looking to build a long-term career within the signage industry.
All tools, equipment, and transport are provided, with shared driving responsibilities. The business is based in Northampton, so being locally based is important.
Overtime is available and paid at standard rate up to 20 hours, with anything beyond paid at time and a half.
The Role
You’ll support the Lead Installer on a variety of site-based projects, including:
* Assisting with the installation of signage, vinyl graphics, and display products
* Preparing materials and supporting smooth, efficient installs
* Driving the company van to and from customer sites
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
* Carrying out basic quality checks on installations
* Looking after tools, equipment, and vehicles
* Representing the business professionally on-site
This role involves regular travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays depending on projects, so flexibility is essential.

* A strong team player with a positive attitude
Ideally, you will also have:
* Some experience in signage, construction, or a similar hands-on environment
* Confidence using basic hand tools
* A full UK driving licence (essential)
* A CSCS card or willingness to obtain one
* Additional qualifications i.e. IPAF, PASMA etc highly advantageous
