This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at the heart of Lancashire county council.
The Business Intelligence team plays a central role in supporting all services across the county council; we provide analyses to develop our understanding of the people who live in Lancashire and insight into Lancashire's economic and cultural landscape; we work closely with all services to develop business critical reports and performance analyses; we also support statutory and regulatory requirements. The team has experts in a broad range of business intelligence techniques, tools and technologies as well as having a deep understanding of the council's functions and services.

Job title: Senior Business Intelligence Officer

This Senior Business Intelligence officer post is a dynamic position linking and improving the information provided by Business Intelligence with that used and needed by operational teams in Adult Social Care services.
You will:
Work directly with senior managers, service and system leads to develop and deliver the council's Business Intelligence and statutory reporting requirements.
Develop/improve the Business Intelligence offer to produce data and associated analysis for Adult Social Care services performance reporting, evaluation requirements and any other associated returns.
Lead on the production of regular analysis and performance reports against the KPIs of Adult Social Care services to facilitate strategic and operational decision making.
Coordinate BI's collaboration with technical and operational teams to incorporate information into datasets and develop reports to best monitor and visualise performance including developing dashboards.
Develop reporting infrastructures to facilitate analysis of data, and the methodology for capturing data from services and partners. Including to enable the collection and flow of data in an efficient, coordinated and appropriate way (with regard to GDPR).
Quality assure the data being reported and work closely with operational staff and other members of the Business Intelligence Team to improve data quality.
Lead or participate in relevant internal and external boards, working groups, projects and initiatives, to provide information, analytical advice and insight to teams and/or partners.
Keep up-to-date with national and regional data and research developments, and advise on how these could affect the work of the team, the county council and other agencies.
