Job Title: Risk Engineer – UK
Location: UK-wide (Field-based with office attendance as required)
Overview:
Chubb is seeking an ambitious Risk Engineer to join our growing UKI team. The successful candidate will undertake Commercial Insurance (CI) property and multi-line surveys across lower, mid and upper mid-market, deliver high-quality risk engineering reports, and provide technical support to internal and external CI stakeholders. This is a field-based role with flexibility for office attendance. The role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a willingness to learn new skills and forge a career in risk engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertake Commercial Insurance (CI) property and multi-line surveys across the UK
2. Produce quality risk engineering reports in a timely manner
3. Develop targeted and pragmatic risk improvement recommendations
4. Provide risk engineering technical support to all Chubb CI stakeholders, internal and external
5. Undertake desktop reviews for new and existing CI business
6. Represent Chubb on external bodies
7. Attend internal and external meetings with underwriters, brokers, and key clients
8. Willingness to travel UK-wide and occasionally overseas
9. Degree or diploma in engineering, risk management, or physical sciences
10. Experience in risk engineering, risk management, health & safety, or facilities management
11. Knowledge of property, BI and casualty risks in the mid-market space
12. Flexible and adaptive approach
13. Ability to work with minimum supervision

15. Willingness to learn new skills and develop a career in risk engineering
16. Demonstrated ability to analyse technical issues, summarise findings, and identify corrective actions

20. Strong technical report writing skills – ability to write clearly and concisely
