This job offers a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, plus up to £8,000 relocation allowance. The RRP is paid in installments: £5,000 on appointment, £5,000 at 12 months, £6,500 at 30 months, and £8,500 at 48 months. The payment is pro-rata for part-time staff. This role is in working age Liaison Psychiatry. You will support the nursing team and ensure continuity of care across the hospital. Responsibilities include providing psychiatric assessments and treatments to patients aged 17 and above, referred from the Emergency Department and inpatient wards.
You should have expertise in working age adult mental health, organic mental states, medically unexplained symptoms, physical and mental health interplay, and psychiatric crises management.
You will join a team involved in nationally recognized research and teaching, including training students from Brighton and Sussex Medical School, nurses, and paramedics. You will also help develop new care pathways aligned with the NHS Long Term Plan.
