Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in following their care plans and achieving their personal goals.
* Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
* Monitor and report changes in the health and well-being of residents to senior staff.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts.
* Engage with residents through conversation and activities to promote social interaction.
* Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld within the care environment.
* Drive to clients homes as required for home care visits.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a healthcare or caring role is preferred but not essential.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for home care assignments.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* Proficient IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and team members.
