As General Manager, for the Site in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, you will take full responsibility for the site's operational and strategic performance, ensuring all functions work cohesively to deliver business goals, profitability, and compliance. You will lead a multi-disciplinary senior team (Operations, Quality, HR, Technical, Commercial, Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Innovation and Technical Design) and function as the key link between site operations and senior international leadership. The General Manager will lead the full operational, commercial, and strategic performance of the flagship site, that supplies advanced engineered products to global customers across multiple industrial markets and is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation. Responsibilities will include: Full P&L ownership overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and long-term strategic planning and delivery of operational excellence, productivity, safety, and quality targets Drive continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and operational excellence while upholding exceptional safety and quality standards Implement robust processes and systems to support scalability and long-term capacity planning to deliver planned growth Play a key role in group-wide strategy, including investment decisions, site development, and major transformation initiatives Represent the business with key customers, suppliers, internal global stakeholders and international partners Supporting global sales of specialist engineered products across multiple international markets whilst identifying growth opportunities and playing a central role in business development initiatives Deliver strong performance against KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement and lean methodologies are embedded across the site Recruit, mentoring and developing departmental leaders to build a high-performance culture of accountability, engagement and high performance Parkinson Lee are interested in speaking with experienced General Managers who can demonstrate: 10 years' senior leadership experience in international manufacturing or engineering environments Proven success leading complex operations of 80–100 employees with full P&L accountability for business with an annual turnover between £50M to £100M Strong international exposure and the ability to operate confidently within a global matrix Deep expertise in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and modern production methodologies Strong commercial acumen with a customer-centric mindset and high level of customer engagement Experience supporting product innovation and new product development initiatives The ability to translate strategic ambitions into operational results and lead change in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Strategic, hands-on leadership style with the ability to develop high-performing teams A history of delivering productivity, profitability, and cultural improvement in fast-paced environments Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L ownership and strategic execution The ability to engage confidently with international stakeholders, authorities, auditors, and senior group leadership Excellent communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business and Lean Six Sigma credentials are highly advantageous This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a high-performing UK site within a global organisation.
