At Quantum Dice, we’re solving some of the most exciting and complex challenges in computing and cybersecurity. Using the unpredictable quantum nature of light, we are building quantum entropy sources for encryption, and further developing the world’s first optoelectronic probabilistic computer. As a growing start-up spun out of the University of Oxford in 2019, we’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology, and we’re looking for a Technical Project Manager (PM) to help us do that. You will be working in a fast-paced and rapidly growing start-up environment, with a friendly, supportive, and ambitious approach. We value creativity, independent thinking, reliability, pro-activity, and a strong ‘get-things-done’ attitude. We are looking for people who learn quickly, take ownership, and bring passion, an understanding of hardware product development, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. If you’re looking for a role where you can make a direct impact in a highly innovative field, we’d love to meet you. What you will do: Project leadership: Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for hardware (electronics, photonics, optoelectronics, chips), firmware and software deliveries - from early-stage research through to delivery and validation. Cross-functional coordination: Work closely with engineers, researchers, and other teams to coordinate, plan, and execute project milestones, ensuring alignment with both technical and business objectives. Supplier & vendor management: Build strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality manufacturing processes, maintain supply chain reliability, and meet operational excellence standards. Risk management: Identify and mitigate risks, manage budgets, timelines, and scope, ensuring projects are completed on-time and within specifications. Communication: Serve as the key technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and effective way to both technical and non-technical audiences. Innovation, product roadmap & strategy: Collaborate with leadership to define project and product roadmaps. Shape the strategic direction for probabilistic computing and scaling quantum random number generators. Continuous improvement: Contribute to the evolution of project management processes, introducing best practices to optimise efficiency and quality. What you will get: A flexible, dynamic, fast-paced work environment that fosters innovation, ownership, and autonomy Opportunities to collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team of world-class engineers and researchers A chance to work on groundbreaking projects with real-world impact A supportive, growth-oriented culture that prioritises your personal development and career advancement
