Were supporting a UK defence manufacturer on the lookout for a detail focused Microelectronics Assembly Operator to join a high performing production team working on advanced electronic assemblies.
This role is ideal for candidates from electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, micro soldering or medical/automotive electronics backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities: Soldering and assembling microelectronic components under a microscope
Building and reworking PEC / CCA assemblies to exacting quality standards
Reading and following detailed work instructions, layouts and build packs
Carrying out certified manufacturing tasks in line with IPC and ESD standards
Working in a cleanroom style, high precision environment
Tentatively work across several departments, these might include: Looming: binding wire looming is a cable assembly that efficiently distributes electrical signals by linking cables together using a crimping tool. (Ex; wiring, root wiring, soldering and fibre optics cabling),
PEC and CCA Assembly
Microelectronics
Plastics Department (Ex; applying glues, cutting out intricate patterns, and moulding).
Manufacturing Controller/Stores
What do you need?: Proven experience in micro soldering or fine pitch electronics assembly
Confident working under a microscope for long periods
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
Ability to follow technical drawings and manufacturing instructions
ESD aware working practices
IPC 610 certification (preferred, not essential)
Additional skills: Experience utilising a soldering iron and working with manufacturing micro-components
Experience using a microscope/magnifying glass

Standard Days 7-3:36 Monday-Thursday, 7-11:36 Friday
12 Hour Days 7-7, Either Sunday-Tuesday, or Wednesday-Friday
Nights Monday-Thursday, 10 hours/night
