We're now looking for an experienced BMS Engineer to join our growing National BMS Operations Team based in Sheffield. This is your chance to work with industry-leading systems, expand your technical expertise, and be part of a collaborative team of over 50 engineers, managers, and support colleagues.
The Role
As a BMS Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and efficiency of building management systems across our client sites in Sheffield and the surrounding region. You'll be hands-on with cutting-edge systems like Trend, Tridium/Niagara, and Distech, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance, while also identifying opportunities to drive system improvements.
What you'll be doing:
1. Delivering high-quality BMS PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) activities across client sites.
2. Identifying and implementing remedial works and system improvements to boost efficiency and performance.
3. Supporting with surveys, proposals, and quotations for small works or upgrades.
4. Attending ad hoc reactive callouts and providing swift, professional resolutions.
5. Gaining hands-on commissioning experience with Trend, Tridium, and Distech systems through small project delivery.
6. Working closely with the Regional Operations Manager and collaborating with the wider BMS team.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a technically skilled and motivated engineer with a passion for BMS solutions and integration.
Essential Skills & Experience:
7. Minimum of 3 years' experience with Trend Controls and/or Tridium/Niagara.
8. Ability to confidently modify software and schematics for Trend & IQVision.
9. Strong working knowledge of SET or other engineering tools.
10. Experience with system integration using protocols such as Modbus, MBus, and BACnet.
11. Solid understanding of HVAC plant and applications.
12. Ideally electrically biased, with good working knowledge of IT networks and IP configuration.
