Job Description
We're looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Operations Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role, working mainly within the Warehouse area of our facility.
This is a varied role within our facility in Crewe, predominantly working in our Warehouse area receiving goods, operating a Forklift Truck, managing/ issuing stock and materials as required. Full training will be provided where required.
A valid Forklift Truck licence is preferable for this role (Both Counterbalance and Reach truck preferred).
Main Duties Include:
· Goods receiving duties i.e. receive, inspect and store incoming goods accurately and safely
· Safely operate machinery, including FLT equipment, to move, load and unload goods within the warehouse and racking areas
· Stock control management including highlighting obsolete/slow moving items
· Use our internal electronic systems to manage orders, receipt PO's etc.
· Quality Control for incoming and outgoing stock
· Working closely with various teams around the business to add value
· Managing bulk stock in accordance with orders and contracts
· Control and manage the disposal of wastepaper products
· Monitor stock levels
· Communicate with internal departments and external companies
· Ensure all documentation is completed correctly
· Conduct regular stock checks to assist with inventory management
· Organize and prioritise your workload, reporting any overdue orders to your manager
· Keep your workspace clean, tidy, and organized
· Minimize waste and ensure proper disposal
· Monitor and report any errors
· Undertake additional duties as needed
The right person for the role:
Working as part of a team, you need to have attention to detail, be precise and also have the ability to work alone on your own initiative. We are looking for someone who will genuinely take pride in their work and cares about the quality of the products we produce.
Working in the production area is hard work; you are on your feet and moving around for most of the time, but if you're someone who is flexible, self-motivated, has a positive attitude and good work ethic, we're keen to hear from you
We are looking for someone with experience in a warehouse environment and it is essential that you hold a valid FLT licence.
The job will be a 4-day week, Monday - Thursday, 7am-4.30pm
