Job Overview and Shifts available:Jet2 Days:Drivers will do 1 block of 9:00 - 18:00Followed by 1 block of 11:00 - 20:00.5 on 3 off.Jet2 Nights:1 block of 21:00 - 6:00 followed by 2 blocks of 23:00 - 8:005 on 3 off.Long Haul:5 on 3 offStart time varies between 5:00, 6:00, 7:00Drivers are advised few days in advance.Overtime rate of 1.5, Free onsite parking, complimentary meals and refreshments.What will life as a HGV Driver in the Gategroup Team look like for you.* £17.00 per hour* Overtime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate* 5 on 3 off pattern, Start Time between 9am and 11am and finishing between 6pm and 8pm* Inhouse training and development* Complimentary meals & beverages* Free on-site parking* Paid Holiday* Regular shift patternsMain Duties and Responsibilities* Driving HGV 15 - 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment* Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use* Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft* Liaison with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers* Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle* Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By- laws* Additional duties such as Bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork.* Plus any additional warehouse dutiesRequirements of the HGV Driver:* Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)* Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card* Driver CPC qualification essential* Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage* Knowledge of the Road Traffic ActPrevious experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job - related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail.All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history. For anytime spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.About Us:
