<div><h3>About the Role</h3><p>We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Finance function at iRock School of Music. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting customers, and contributing to a high-performing and well-structured finance operation.</p><p>This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on credit control and collections, combined with exposure to broader transactional finance activities. You will be a key point of contact for parents, working through outstanding balances with professionalism and care, while supporting the integrity of our financial records.</p><p>If you enjoy combining finance responsibilities with customer interaction and want to develop your career in a growing organisation, this could be a strong fit.</p><p><b>Salary:</b>£26,000 - £28,000</p><p><b>Bonus:</b> Annual Bonus linked to both Company and Individual Performance</p><p><b>Holiday:</b> 27 days, plus bank holidays</p><p><b>Contract:</b> Full-time (35 hours per week), permanent</p><p><b>Location:</b> Farnborough (Hybrid – 4 days on site, 1 day from home)</p><h3>Credit Control & Collections</h3><ul><li>Take ownership of failed payment cases and determine appropriate next steps</li><li>Contact parents via phone and email to resolve outstanding balances with empathy and professionalism</li><li>Manage follow‑ups to ensure timely resolution of all cases</li><li>Support the set‑up and monitoring of payment plans</li><li>Raise and manage invoices across systems</li><li>Apply credits and support refund processing</li><li>Escalate complex or sensitive cases where needed</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activity</li><li>Identify and flag inconsistencies or issues in accounts</li></ul><h3>Transactional Finance Support</h3><ul><li>Support day‑to‑day finance activity to ensure records are accurate and up to date</li><li>Raise invoices and process transactions in the accounting system</li><li>Assist with accounts payable processing</li><li>Support bank and payment reconciliations</li><li>Maintain finance trackers and internal records</li><li>Assist with month‑end processes and reconciliations</li></ul><h3>Systems & Processes</h3><ul><li>Follow structured processes to ensure consistency and control</li><li>Maintain accurate data across finance systems</li><li>Support continuous improvement of finance processes</li><li>Ensure all activity is clearly recorded for audit and visibility</li></ul><h3>What We Offer</h3><ul><li>Salary of £26,000 – £28,000 (dependent on experience)</li><li>Hybrid working with regular collaboration in Farnborough</li><li>Medicash cash plan to support your health and wellbeing</li><li>27 days holiday plus bank holidays</li><li>Enhanced sickness, maternity, and paternity pay</li><li>A role with real responsibility and development opportunities</li><li>Opportunity to grow within a supportive and ambitious organisation</li></ul><h3>What We’re Looking For</h3><p><b>Essential</b></p><ul><li>AAT Level 3 qualified or qualified by experience (typically 2+ years in a transactional finance role)</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>Comfortable handling customer conversations around payments with professionalism and empathy</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks</li><li>Confident using systems (e.g. Excel, accounting software)</li><li>Able to work independently and use initiative</li></ul><p><b>Desirable</b></p><ul><li>Experience in credit control or collections</li><li>Experience in a finance or administrative role</li><li>Interest in developing a long‑term career in finance</li></ul><h3>Recruitment Statement</h3><p>This role requires the applicant to be a UK national or be resident in the UK with a right to work visa already in place. iRock embraces diversity and equal opportunity.
