Job Purpose
A working supervisor role to oversee and manage a team of electricians across several frameworks for Thames Water in the Thames Valley region.
The Role
Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid hourly with all overtime paid; weekend overtime paid at an inflated rate.
Responsibilities
* Supervise electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
* Ensure all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan, inspection and test plans.
* Follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and be empowered to stop work if unsafe circumstances arise.
* Coach and mentor Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates and Apprentices.
* Promote and demonstrate Bridges' values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients.
* Promote positive health and wellbeing amongst peers.
* Act in a professional manner and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting business goals and maintaining the company's positive reputation.
Requirements
* ECS Gold Card (essential).
* SSSTS or SMSTS (essential).
* Appropriate City & Guilds trade qualification where appropriate.
* Experience within the water/waste water industry.
* Experience supervising a small team on installations.
* Emergency first aid or First Aider.
* Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures.
* Prepared to take responsibility for self and others.
* Full UK driving license.
* Fit to work medical.
Desirable
* CCNSG and EUSR.
* Inspection and testing certificate.
* Ability to write simple risk assessments.
