We’re delighted to be offering this exciting new role for a Surgical Lead Vet to join our award-winning group, covering shifts across the London area. The ideal candidate will be an AVP/Surgical Senior Vet or cert holder in orthopaedics.
What are we looking for?
This is a brand-new role for The Pet Vet, and will offer the post holder a unique opportunity to work across 3 surgeries in Greater London. All locations are accessible within 30 minutes from central London by underground or overground; or 45 minutes by car.
We currently have 12, active customers registered across our London practices, so there is a ready case load for in-house orthopaedic and complex soft tissue services, as well as the opportunity to acquire new customers and accept external referrals.
As well as being a brilliant Vet, you’ll also have amazing soft skills, so that you easily integrate into our surgery teams, and create a strong bond with our customers and their pets.
You’ll consistently deliver excellence in clinical care and customer service, training & mentoring your colleagues to do the same.
This is a full-time position, although we’re open to considering a more flexible arrangement. We’re looking for someone who will thrive on the flexibility this role offers. As the position involves working across different sites, you’ll be confident and highly adaptable.
What will it be like to work in the role?
You’ll work within our spacious, purpose-built surgeries, designed with careful consideration for customer experience, patient journey and colleague wellbeing. Our surgeries are filled with the latest surgical and diagnostic equipment, to support you in doing what you do best!
The role will be surgically-biased, but will also include some morning and afternoon consultation appointments, as a route to build the surgical caseload and conduct post-operative checks. You will also receive daily admin time.
